Self Care.

Do you want to know the one thing that helps me creep out of that defeated and helpless feeling we all feel from time to time? Self care. Taking a little bit of time for myself each day helps me feel sane and forces me to take off the hats of counsellor, home service driver, personal trainer, nutritionist, business owner etc etc etc that many of us wear in one capacity or another. Even if it's only for 10 mins a day, taking care of myself makes me feel strong and empowered. Try doing something today that you know will make you feel good. Take a shower and do your make up. Or make a simple, nutritious meal for dinner. Or call a girlfriend and see if you can meet up for a coffee. Or go for a walk. Self care is really important. Taking care of yourself is not selfish. Taking cafe of yourself means that the people you love will get the best of you and not what's left of you. Yours sincerely, Your friend.
